Meet Manas Daimary, a 26-year-old international pro MMA fighter and certified strength and conditioning coach who has brought numerous awards to our state.

Manas Daimary, a resident of Guwahati, Assam, began training in martial arts when he was 12 years old in order to lose weight. He began his martial arts journey by studying karate, bodybuilding, and wushu, before settling on ‘mixed martial arts.’

He has made the country and our state proud on numerous occasions during his fighting career, including being an MTV Super Fight League international pro fighter, National Pro-am Muaythai Champion, and National Gi grappling gold medallist, to name a few.

In a world where job competitiveness is high, Manas decided to drop out of college to pursue his goal.

He worked as a coach for 7 years, assisting over 1000 customers in becoming fit and active. But, during the pandemic lockdown, he realised he wanted something of his own, so he quit his previous job to open his own club, DOJANG MMA & FITNESS, in July 2021. It offers online and in-home personal fitness training.

He works as a personal trainer for celebrities such as Priyanka Baishya, Poonam Gurung and Kulanandini Mahanta.

He’s been working with some of the most brilliant and dedicated athletes on his balcony to help them reach their dreams. Some of those athletes even travel more than 40kms each day to train with him.

As a coach and founder of DOJANG MMA, he has brought three national-level title belts in MMA and MUAYTHAI, two national golds, and three state golds in MUAY THAI, one HADES K-1 national best fighter, and four bronzes, to our state, so far.

Speaking with Just Guwahati Things, he stated that it is a proud beginning for a big dreamer, but his focus should be on winning on international platforms such as UFC, One Champion, MFN, Max Muaythai, etc.

He plans to expand his DOJANG MMA from his home to a high-end gym in the near future. He has one goal in mind: to create a world champion from India.
