Assam News: In a great news for the sports enthusiasts in Assam, the state has managed to bag three bronze medals at the 18th World Muaythai Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2023. The tournament witnessed the participation of over 25 countries from across the globe.

Out of the 10 players who represented Team India in the tournament, three were from Assam, and they all belong to DOJANG MMA & FITNESS STUDIO, a renowned MMA training center in the state. The three fighters from Assam who won bronze medals are Krishnamoni Bhuyan, Hridik Daimary, and Ankit Kumar Singh.

Krishnamoni Bhuyan, who competed in the youth 51 Kg category, displayed a brilliant performance throughout the tournament and managed to secure the bronze medal. Similarly, Hridik Daimary, who fought in the senior 75 Kg category, also gave a tough competition to his opponents and bagged a bronze medal. Ankit Kumar Singh, who competed in the senior 81 Kg category, also displayed remarkable skills and managed to secure the third bronze medal for Assam.

The news of the three fighters from Assam winning bronze medals at the world championship has brought immense joy and pride to the state.
