The Assam Government has announced a price hike for Indian-made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in the state, according to a notification from the Excise Department.
The price increase affects selected categories of IMFL including Rum, Brandy, Whiskey, Gin, Liquor Cordials, and similar products produced domestically.
The revised prices will take effect from April 1, 2024. A source within the Excise Department indicated that the specific rate adjustments for liquor brands will be disclosed after April 1.
