When driving a motorcycle in Assam’s Nagaon district, one young man died and another was badly injured while attempting to take a selfie with his phone.
They were on their motorcycle when it crashed with a truck near Lailuri Numbari on Tuesday evening.
According to onlookers, both of the youths were attempting to take a selfie while riding a motorcycle and were not wearing helmets.
When the tragedy occurred, Mintu Das and his pillion rider Liton Das were on their way to Laokhowa.
After their motorcycle collided with a goods-carrying truck, Mintu Das (21) died on the scene.
According to reports, pillion rider Liton Das (21) was badly injured in the crash and is receiving treatment.
A police crew from Rupohihat Station’s Ambagan Outpost arrived on the scene and recovered the deceased while transporting the injured to the hospital.
