There have been many rumours about the makeup of franchises ever since the BCCI announced plans to hold the women’s IPL, with the most glaring one being which cities the five proposed franchises will represent.
There is good news for North East cricket lovers, though. Devajit Saikia, the recently-elected joint secretary of the national cricket board, announced on Wednesday that the procedures for forming the team, which will have its headquarters in Guwahati, are almost complete.
