A woman was stopped from attempting suicide by jumping from the Chandmari flyover in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Onlookers intervened just as she was ready to take the leap, saving the woman, identified as Puja Das.
The woman claimed that her husband had harassed her for a long time, pushing her to make such a terrible decision.
Meanwhile, the husband’s name has been revealed to be Milan Das. Das is a driver at the Chandmari Police Station, according to reports.
According to the woman, her husband was also accused of having an illicit affair with another woman.
Locals and media persons present at the site handed her over to the cops.
