Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on Saturday, amid protests by the Bajrang Dal over the impending movie Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, “Shah Rukh Khan, who is he? I have no knowledge of him or his movie Pathaan.”
In response to questions from the media on the violent Bajrang Dal protest that took place at the Gold Cinema in Guwahati’s Narangi on Friday evening, CM Sarma made the remark.
The chief minister also said, “Assamese film Dr Bezbarua – Part 2 will be also released and the people of Assam should watch that.”
“Khan has not called me, though many from Bollywood do so, regarding the problem. But if he does, I will look into the matter. Action will be taken if law and order have been violated and a case has been filed,” he added.
