The World Health Organization (WHO) South-East Asia Regional Director’s Special Recognition Award 2022 was given to a doctor from Guwahati’s Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute.
Dr. Srabana Misra Bhagabaty of the Department of Preventive Oncology was recognised for her outstanding contributions to tobacco control over the past two decades.
She is an associate Professor cum in charge of Preventive Oncology at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute in Guwahati.
