Asssam heartthrob Zubeen Garg has urged the people of Assam to watch Assamese films instead of South Indian movies.
“Avoid watching South Indian movies. They display a variety of amusing arrays. How is it possible to kick a truck and have it topple? They just keep showing motorcycle races, and we sit there like fools watching them,” Garg said during his performance at a cultural event for Rongali Bihu.
The singer, actor, director, and producer, who is known for films such as Kanchanjungha, has urged Assam residents to watch Assamese films instead of South Indian films to help Assamese filmmakers and the film industry prosper.
He also vowed to make good films and asked the public to promise to see Assamese films in return.
