Vegetable prices in Guwahati marketplaces have risen in unison with rising fuel prices across the country.
Carrots cost Rs.150 per kilo on Sunday, while other vegetables including ridge gourd (jika), cabbage, and pointed gourd cost Rs.60 per kilo.
French beans and tomatoes cost Rs. 100 per kilo. Ladyfinger (okra/bhindi) costs Rs. 80 per kilo, whilst cucumber costs Rs. 50 per kilo. Each lemon costs Rs. 10.
