A pet theft ring in Guwahati was busted on Friday, and two people were arrested for stealing a German Spitz.
Rana Das alias Guddu of Kamakhya Colony was apprehended for stealing the puppy. Further inquiry led to the arrest of Manash Nath, a pet shop owner in Guwahati’s Maligaon area, who purchased the dog for Rs 2500.
Assam Police, informing about the incident, tweeted, “Mission Impawssible! A WGPD team of @GuwahatiPol from Jalukbari PS busted a pet theft ring and arrested two humans for stealing a German Spitz. The cute little furry friend was handed back to the owner.”
