Two murders have been reported in Guwahati, Assam, in the last 24 hours.
One person, identified as Kajal Chandra Das, was found dead in the Sitalabari area of Bamunimaidam on Monday morning. Miscreants, according to sources, slit the deceased’s throat.
Das had been missing since Sunday evening, according to reports.
Meanwhile, one person has been arrested in connection with the murder case by the Chandmari police. The individual has been taken into custody by the police, and he is currently being interrogated.
In another murder case, on Monday morning, another person named Hamidul Islam was discovered dead in a drain near Gandhi Basti in Guwahati.
The deceased was last seen near the Gandhi Basti area on Sunday. The deceased person was a garment trader.
Locals discovered him dead the next morning.
It’s unclear how he died, but police are looking into whether it was a murder or an accident.
Furthermore, earlier on Sunday, a man was discovered dead at his home in Guwahati’s Boragaon area. The deceased was identified as Ajit Chetia who was an accountant in Amtron.
