On the television programme MasterChef India, three Assam residents have emerged. The programme premiered on January 2 on Sony Entertainment Television.

Assam contestants Nazia Sultana, Nayanjyoti Saikia, and Santa Sarmah have advanced to the television round of the competition.

Homemaker Nazia Sultana, 33, is from Guwahati. The chefs enjoyed Sultana’s savoury Japanese pancakes that she prepared in the first episode of the programme.

In addition to working in a tea garden with his father, Tinsukia resident Nayanjyoti Saikia, 26, loves to cook. In the initial episode, he cooked a dessert.

For the judges, Santa Sarmah, a 34-year-old homemaker who began cooking at the age of 8, made three different kinds of sushi. On January 4, her episode will air.

The judges for the newest season of MasterChef India are Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Garima Arora.
