An unfortunate incident occurred when a student who arrived at Darrang College to enrol his name in the college, died due to intense heat.
Due to the intense heat and pressure within the auditorium premises, the student identified as, Bhargav Jyoti Borah who was waiting to enrol his name in 1st Semester at Darrang College passed away.
Parents and students accuse college administrators of negligence for failing to provide any first aid or emergency facilities.
Bhargav Jyoti Bora, a student from Tezpur, visit the college on Wednesday to enrol his name.
He fell unconscious during the admission process that was taking place inside the college’s auditorium, and when he was taken to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.
The auditorium reportedly held more people than it was designed to hold, which caused excessive heat.
