Popular singer Sonu Nigam donated Rs. 5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Assam’s flood-affected people.
Sonu Nigam is a singer, composer, and actor. In the media, he has been referred to as one of Hindi cinema’s most popular and successful playback singers.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his gratitude to Sonu Nigam on Twitter.
The chief minister, wrote, “Empathising with the flood-affected people of Assam, renowned singer Shri Sonu Nigam contributed ₹5 lakh to CM Relief Fund as assistance to our relief and rehabilitation measures. My deep gratitude to him for his concern and act of benevolence.”
Previously, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and filmmaker Rohit Shetty, donated Rs 5 lakh, and T-Series managing director Bhushan Kumar, donated Rs 11 lakh to lend a helping hand to flood victims in Assam.
