Language is not just a medium of communication; it is a means to express emotions, culture, and identity. It is a bridge that connects people and communities, and each language is unique in its own way.
On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Google India’s social media page launched a campaign to celebrate words that speak the language of emotions.
The campaign aims to encourage people to share a unique word from their language, like the Assamese word “Saaliya,” which has a special meaning and emotional value. Sharing the word, Google India, wrote, “Saaliya—is not just a word. It’s an emotion.”
In addition, they included the caption, “My automatic response when I see my bestie’s mekhela sador pics.”
