Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu assured on Saturday that the state’s higher secondary results would be released on schedule this time.
The education minister told the media that students should not be concerned about the results because they will be released timely.
Pegu also said that discussions about the distribution of free textbooks for the coming term had taken place.
“We discussed in detail about the quantity of text books that will be necessary to be produced, as well as what the paper printing will be like,” he said.
Students will be relieved to learn that the summer vacations will be given as per rules, informed the state education minister.
Meanwhile, all educational institutes in all districts of the state that have been damaged by floods and landslides as a result of severe rains will be renovated before the start of the next academic term.
