Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) have announced the launch of their first Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, scheduled to depart from Dibrugarh on May 27, 2023. The train will cover a popular religious tourist circuit, including Vaishnodevi, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.

The train will make stops at multiple stations, allowing passengers to board and de-board at various points. The 10-night, 11-day journey will begin at Katra, where tourists will visit the Mata Vaishnodevi Temple. The train will then head to Ayodhya, where tourists will visit the Ram Janma Bhoomi and Hanumangarhi, followed by an Aarati at the Sarayu River. The next stop will be Prayagraj, where tourists will visit Triveni Sangam and Alopi Devi Temple. The final stop on the journey will be Varanasi, where tourists will visit the Ganga Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Temple, among other pilgrimage places.

Passengers on the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will be provided with meals onboard, including early morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner. Dedicated coaches and buses will be available for off-board transfers and sightseeing, and tourists will be accompanied by dedicated tour escorts throughout the trip. The cost of the trip will be approximately ₹20,850 and ₹31,135 per person, inclusive of GST, for Sleeper Class and AC 3-Tier, respectively. Those interested can find more details on irctctourism.com.
