Prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Dibrugarh, Assam, on Thursday, the common man in Guwahati is facing a slew of commute challenges.
According to reports, about 600 small-to-large buses were taken to Dibrugarh for PM Modi’s visit, causing a bus crisis in the city. Special duty has been assigned to all city buses, ASTC buses, and magics (small taxis). On April 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Assam to inaugurate seven cancer hospitals in Dibrugarh.
Passengers have been waiting for hours at bus stops to get into a bus, and when they do, the bus is overloaded. Many frustrated passengers have complained that the administration has failed to provide alternate travel services.
