On Wednesday, December 8, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways in a written statement informed that The National Highway Authority of India has indicated actions to construct 4 flyovers in Guwahati’s Bypass (NH-37).
The flyover construction will take place in Boragaon, Lokhra, Garchuk, and Basistha junctions.
Besides that, NHAI has planned for taking up project preparation work for the construction of Guwahati Ring Road.
Further, the Central government also plans to take up 131 new National Highway projects at an approximate estimated cost of about 84,193 crores, in the North-Eastern States, within the next three years, under the National Infrastructure Pipeline.
