Recently it has come to notice that the NCERT book has misinformation about Kamakhya Temple. The image of Kamakhya Temple is labeled “Temple, Sibsagar, Assam” in the textbook.
The name of the book is “An Introduction To
Indian Art
,” it’s a textbook in Fine Arts
for Class XI.
The erroneous information may be found on Page 77 of the book’s sixth chapter called, “Temple Architecture and Sculpture.”
