Guwahati was pounded by heavy rain on Wednesday, causing major roads and low-lying residential areas to flood, disrupting the daily life of the citizens.
Several areas of Guwahati have been flooded following a heavy downpour on Wednesday morning.
The worst-affected areas continue to be the following: Hatigaon, Hatigarh, Geetanagar, and several nearby areas.
Meanwhile, GMC has set up a helpline for residents in need of assistance due to the city’s flooding.
The Guwahati Municipal Corporation sent out a tweet to the citizens of Guwahati on Wednesday stating, “FOR ANY ASSISTANCE needed due to water logging during the rainy season, please call GMC toll free helpline number: 08811007000.”
