On the occasion of Rongali Bihu, locals in Assam’s Sivasagar held an elephant race on Friday.
A video of the event has surfaced on the internet. The video shows people racing and recording the race as two elephants raced against one other.
The Rongali Bihu celebrations began on Thursday in Assam and will continue until Saturday. The festival declares the start of the harvest season and is also celebrated as the Assamese New Year.
