The Government of Assam has raised the price of Indian-made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) by 65 per cent in the state.
Prices for certain categories of IMFL have been raised, according to a notification issued by the Assam Excise Department on June 2nd.
The price increase will take effect on June 15, 2022.
The price increase is effective for alcoholic beverages such as rum, brandy, whisky, gin, liquor cordials, and other similar beverages that are manufactured in India.
