In Goalpara, Assam, headmistress of a government school has been arrested for reportedly bringing beef to school.
The incident occurred in Hurkachungi M.E School, which is located in Goalpara’s Lakhipur area.
According to reports, on the day of Gunotsav, the headmistress, Daliman Nessa, allegedly brought beef to the institution.
Nessa was detained by Lakhimpur police shortly after the incident and later sent to judicial custody.
Bhimkanta Pegu, Officer-In-Charge of Lakhipur Police Station, told reporters that one of Daliman Nessa’s colleagues found out about it at lunch hour and began objecting, after which it came to light.
