During the month of March, Guwahati was one of the most polluted cities in the country. The Air Quality Index, according to the CPCB, was in the “very poor” category.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has advised that masks should be worn outside.
“Guwahati is 1 of the most polluted cities in the country during March. According to CPCB, the Air Quality Index is found in the very poor category. CPCB has advised to wear mask outdoor. I have seen how the situation turned worst in Delhi. Act before it is too late,” tweeted Partha Jyoti Borah, Associate Editor at News18 Assam NE, in reaction to Guwahati’s poor air quality.
