A school student received multiple injuries after falling from the fifth storey of the Aurus Mall in Guwahati’s Super Market area on Tuesday.
The boy is a minor and a ninth-grader at a Dispur school. He lives in Rukminigaon, according to reports.
The incident is being investigated by Dispur police, however, it is unclear whether it was an accident or a suicide attempt.
The boy was brought to the adjacent GNRC Hospital for treatment shortly after the incident, which occurred at around 2.30 p.m.
In addition to other injuries, he is said to have suffered fractures in both legs and the right hand.
