In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, a breastfeeding kiosk was inaugurated at PF 1 of the Guwahati Railway station on Saturday.
“It will immensely help female railway travelers to breastfeed her baby properly in a secured environment,” tweeted the official account of Northeast Frontier Railway.
The Kiosk was built by the Guwahati Icons Rotary Club in close coordination with Northeast Frontier Railway.
Along with other representatives from the Railways and the Rotary Club of Guwahati Icons, Sri J. P. Singh, ADRM/Guwahati, and acclaimed actress Nishita Goswami were present at the inauguration event of the breastfeeding kiosk.
