Nilufar Ahmed of Guwahati, Assam, won Gold in the 44th National Arm-Wrestling Championship, which was held in Jammu and Kashmir. She won gold in the 60-65 kg division.
In the same competition, Nilufar won the title of Champion of Champions in the All India Women’s category.
The Jammu & Kashmir Arm Wrestling Association organised the competition, which took place in Ganderbal from August 18–22.
Nilufar, 20, is a part of the Assam Arm Wrestling Association and is presently a Bachelor of Computer Application student at Guwahati.
She has previously won the Champion of the Champions title and the gold medal in the 60-65 kg division in the 44th Kamrup District Arm Wrestling Championship held in Bihdia, Assam. The 44th All Assam Arm Wrestling Championship, which took place at Nagaon on July 22–23, saw her win gold as well.
