Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Board of Kamrup (M) has mandated that City Buses in Guwahati must compulsorily distribute bus tickets via E-ticketing devices.
All passengers travelling by bus must receive E-tickets from the machines. E-Ticketing devices must be purchased by the owner of the city buses.
A notification regarding the same released on Friday indicates that starting on November 1, 2022, no city bus will be permitted to operate on the road without an E-Ticketing machine that can generate an electronic ticket and collect the fare from passengers.
