A total of 39,421 vehicles have been added in Guwahati during the last five months since April of this year, according to information released by the District Transport Office.
These included a total of 105 buses, 550 motor cabs, 21,672 motorcycles or scooters, and 12,302 motor cars.
Furthermore, 74,887 vehicles were registered in Guwahati between April 2021 and March 2022.
The most number of cars sold this year, 2635, were sold in total during the month of July. May saw the highest number of bus sales, 26, over the last five months.
Dumper sales reached their peak in August with 28 sold. Also, August saw the greatest number of two-wheeler sales of the entire year with a total of 4844 motorcycles-scooters sold.
