Gulab Chand Kataria has been named the new governor of Assam by president Droupadi Murmu. Prof. Jagdish Mukhi will be replaced by him.
Gulab Chand Kataria, a member of the BJP, served as Rajasthan’s former home minister and is currently the opposition leader in the state legislature.
