The Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) attacked the legacy of veteran artists Dipali Borthakur and Neel Pawan Barua.
In February, the G-20 summit will take place in Guwahati. The GMDA is making efforts to adorn Guwahati for this special event, however by doing so, they have insulted the two veteran artists by painting over their portrait.
The illustrator, Bhejal who painted the portrait under the Jalukbari flyover in Guwahati, is very much saddened by the incident.
The illustrator of Dipali Borthakur and Neel Pawan Barua’s portrait of their enduring love, showed his dissatisfaction and said, “One day, when there will be paint that cannot be wiped, I will again paint the two legends.”
