On Thursday, March 3, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation’s (GMC) Health and Enforcement branches conducted a trade licence inspection drive near Raj Bhavan in Guwahati’s Uzan Bazaar area.
During the drive, three business establishments were inspected, and all of them were found to be operating without valid trade licences, according to the GMC. They are as follows:
• Kadak Chaa (Fast Food Stall, Juice Counter)
• Banaras Chat Chaiwala (Fast Food Stall)
• Barman Store (Grocery Store)
Penalties and notices have been issued in accordance with the provisions of the GMC Act for violations of specific rules and regulations. During the drive, a total of Rs 30,000 was collected in penalties.
