The general public was allegedly bribed to attend Amit Shah’s Khanapara programme. They were paid Rs. 60-70 to attend the event.
The public appeared oblivious to the programme they were attending. When asked and they responded with bizarre responses.
“They gave Rs. 500 to nine persons,” one claimed. “I have no idea who is coming,” says another.
At the Veterinary Field in Khanapara, the Union home minister on Tuesday attended the programme commemorating the one-year anniversary of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s government.
He attended the event as part of a three-day visit to the state, arriving late Sunday night in Guwahati.
