The P.G. and I. Com examinations set for June 16 to 20 have been postponed by Gauhati University and its affiliated colleges, including the Gauhati University Institute of Science and Technology (GUIST).
Examinations between this period have been requested to be rescheduled as soon as possible by the University authority.
The decision was made in wake of the incessant rain in Guwahati, which has disrupted public transit and electricity for thousands of people.
The remaining examinations, however, will be held as per the schedule.
