A Guwahati man filed an FIR against the forthcoming multi-starer movie “Pathaan” on Monday.
A police report was filed at the Geetanagar Police Station by Satya Ranjan Borah, the founder of Kutumba Surakshya Parishad, against actor Shah Rukh Khan, actress Deepika Padukone, producer and director of “Pathaan,” and the lyricist and choreographer of the song “Rang Besharam,” from the upcoming movie.
Satya Ranjan Borah wrote the following in the FIR: “Saffron” being the symbol of pride and honour of this nation; the representative colour of the greater cultural heritage of India and which carries the significances of sacrifices of chores Indian Monk; cannot be a “Becharam Rang” (Shameless Colour); as mentioned in the movie. doing so, the producer, director and actors along with all casts and crews of the film have insulted the nation, the nation’s pride, the Sanatan Dharma and the pure and selfless sacrifice of the Monks. The film also violates Article 51 A.”
