The Transport Department of Assam issued a warning for driving in the wrong lane on Tuesday through their official Twitter account.

The department warned that driving on the incorrect side of the lane could result in a penalty of up to Rs. 5000 or a 6-month jail sentence.

“Driving a vehicle on the wrong side of the lane shall invite penalty upto Rs. 5000/- or imprisonment for a period of 6 months,” tweeted Assam Transport Department.
