As 10 more people tested positive, COVID-19 cases in Assam increased to 7,24,267 on Tuesday, the highest single-day increase since March 1.
With 432 samples tested for the virus, a daily positivity rate of 2.31 percent was reported, according to data released by the state’s National Health Mission.
According to National Health Mission, eight new cases have been detected in Kamrup district, one each in Bongaigaon and Kamrup Metropolitan districts.
Assam’s total Covid-19 cases have now reached 7,24, 267. There are currently 33 active cases in the state, with 7,16,246 persons having recovered. The percentage of recovery is 98.89 percent.
So far, 2.44 crore persons have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccinations, 2.10 crore have received the complete dose, and 5.66 lakh have received the booster dose.
