Cotton University in Guwahati has planned a special examination for COVID-19 virus-infected students who will be unable to attend the offline semester examination on the scheduled dates.

“More and more people are getting infected by the virus every day. Students who are not able to attend the offline exam on the scheduled date due to COVID-19, special exams will be held for them on a later date,” said Diganta Das, Academic Registrar of Cotton University.

Despite the escalating number of COVID-19 cases among students and staff at the university; the students report that the administration has chosen to proceed with the fifth semester’s offline tests as planned, despite caring for their health.

The fifth-semester examinations will begin on January 21, 2022.

However, speaking to G Plus, Diganta Das stated that students need not be concerned because the entire COVID-19 protocol would be followed when the examination is conducted.

He said, “The number of fifth-semester students is less. Exams will be held in multiple rooms so that proper social distance and sanitation protocols are followed.”
