On Monday, the Chiarman and Managing Director of Oil India Limited (OIL) announced the installation of compressed natural gas (CNG) stations throughout Guwahati.

OIL chief Sushil Chandra Mishra also stated that residents of Guwahati will soon receive gas supply at their homes via pipelines.

Mishra stated that OIL will undertake the initiative to make gas available through pipelines in Guwahati in different phases. OIL India, Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), and Assam Gas Company are working together on the project.

He made the announcement during a press conference on Monday, where he also made many other pronouncements.

Mishra expressed the corporation’s plans to establish CNG stations in the city, he said, “CNG stations will be installed in Guwahati by June.” He then added that ethanol is not harmful to vehicles.
