Guwahati’s Ganeshguri flyover has had its second motor vehicle accident in a day.
On Monday, April 18, around 11:30 PM, a car lost control and rolled over on the flyover.
The car, which was reportedly travelling from Guwahati to Mangaldoi, lost control and crashed into the divider, flipping over atop the Ganeshguri flyover.
According to reports, the driver was drunk at the time of the accident. Witnesses aided the driver and rushed him to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for treatment (GMCH).
The vehicle has been confiscated, according to the Dispur Police Department, and the incident will be investigated.
Earlier, a man was killed in a motorcycle collision on the Ganeshguri flyover in Guwahati at about 2 a.m. on Monday.
According to reports, the two-wheeler lost control and collided with a truck. The rider died on the spot, according to police sources, while the pillion rider suffered serious injuries.
