In a photograph shared by Cachar’s Deputy Commissioner (DC), Minerva Devi Arambam, ACS, Katigorah Circle Officer, was seen working by candlelight during flood relief activities at her revenue circle.
Floods have wreaked havoc in Katigorah, Cachar. As a result, there have been multiple power outages, transportation disruptions, and other issues. Floods in Assam have impacted 67 revenue circles, including Katigorah.
Heavy rains have caused floods and landslides in 26 districts and 1089 villages across Assam, affecting over 4 lakh people.
Both SDRF and paramilitary troops have been active in the rescue attempts in Cachar District.
