The biggest COVID-19 outbreak in Assam was reported today, with more than double the number of new cases reported the day before.
In the last 24 hours, Assam reported 6,982 new COVID-19 cases.
1,491-cases out of 6,982-cases were reported from Kamrup (M) alone in a single day.
For 64,919 tests performed in the last 24 hours, the positive rate jumped to 10.75 percent. The number of people taking the test today has been doubled to the regular numbers.
In just one day, 11 people have died as a result of COVID-19.
Today, Assam’s recovery rate drops to 95.18 percent.
