Guwahati: Rupam Dutta, a young author and driver by profession, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Assam.
Dutta, who is well-known for his book “The Life of a Driver,” was reportedly inspired by the ideology of Arvind Kejriwal and the good governance of AAP in Delhi and Punjab.
AAP in-charge of North Eastern States Rajesh Sharma has welcomed Dutta to their party family and expressed their excitement at having him on board.
Sharma tweeted, “Inspired by the ideology of @ArvindKejriwal and good governance of @AamAadmiParty in Delhi & Punjab, Rupam Dutta, a driver by profession, popular young author of “The life of a driver” joined @AAP4Assam today. We welcome him to AAP family.”
