International Pageant ‘Miss Teen Diva’ contestant from India, Assam’s Barsha Kiran (@barsha__kiran) unveiled her national costume designed by Albert R. Marak (@albertmarak25). The costume is inspired by the culture and tradition of the state of Assam. The dress showcases the importance of Dhaan, the most significant crop in the state and Japi, a traditional conical hat woven from Somboo cane.

The costume also features Assam’s most crucial folk dance, Bihu, which is performed by young people and symbolizes youthful passion, unity, and joy. The dress is made of Muga Paat Silk or Eri Silk and is adorned with Assam’s traditional ornaments made of raw gold. Overall, the costume is a beautiful representation of the hardworking people and the vibrant culture of Assam.
