A 22-year-old young dancer from Assam’s Saderi village, Bajali district — Raktim Thakuria has been selected as one of the top 5 finalists in — India’s Best Dancer.

Considered as one of the best dance competitions in the country, India’s Best Dancer, airs on Sony Entertainment Television.

Raktim with his wonderful performances in the show drew the attention and love of the audience across the country.

Presently, the voting lines are open in the dance competition; and in a comprehensive video, Raktim appealed to everyone to vote for him.

He is the son of Gajendra Nath Thakuria who worked as programme producer at Doordarshan Kendra, Guwahati. And, his mother, Moromi Thakuria teaches English at Hangerabari Jr. College in Guwahati.

Raktim’s father Gajendra Nath Thakuria talking about how he learnt dancing said, “He is very hardworking since his childhood. He learned to dance from YouTube.”

Requesting everyone to vote for Raktim, he further added, “We feel proud of him. I request the people to vote for him.”
