Assam boy Nayanjyoti Saikia emerged as the winner of the seventh season of MasterChef India, the popular cooking reality show on television.
The grand finale was broadcasted on Friday, and Santa Sharma from Assam and Suvarna Bagul from Mumbai were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Nayanjyoti Saikia was presented with a prize of Rs 25 lakhs by Sony Entertainment Television, in addition to the highly coveted trophy of MasterChef India and the Golden Chef’s Coat.
