Assam teacher Meenakshi Goswami will receive the ‘National Awards to Teachers’ for her contributions to the field, the Union Ministry of Education announced.
Meenakshi Goswami, the principal of Chandra Nath Sarma Higher Secondary School in Bihaguri, Sonitpur district, is the only teacher from Assam among the 46 chosen for the prestigious National Awards to Teachers 2022.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu congratulated Goswami on his achievement and wrote on Twitter, “Heartiest Congratulations to Ms. Meenakhi Goswami, Principal, CNS Higher Secondary School, Sonitpur, for being selected for the #NationalTeacherAward2022.”
The awards will be presented on September 5 at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi by President Droupadi Murmu. The award includes a silver medal, a monetary prize of Rs. 50,000, and a certificate of merit.
