Hedayet Ali of Assam became the seventh Assamese mountaineer to reach the peak of Mount Everest.
On Thursday around 7:30 a.m., he reached the summit of Everest.
Hedayet has also climbed Mount Acconoguwa, South America’s highest mountain.
Mount Elbrus and Mount Kilimanjaro have also been conquered by him.
Ali hails from Hajo, Kamrup, but currently lives in Silicon Valley, California, where he works as a software engineer.
Ali was part of an international team of 11 mountaineers who reached the summit.
Mount Everest, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas, is the world’s highest mountain above sea level.
